Occupational Health RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in the Employee Health Department
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 10 weeks

Role focus

• Cares for adult patients with TB screening, immunizations, pre-hire health assessments, first aid treatment of injuries, and follow-up on potential exposures and personal illness

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Pediatrics (2 years of experience)
• Pediatrics experience within the last year
• Occupational Health experience
• 2 professional references
• Background check required within 30 days of start
• Primary Source Verification for state license
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Copy of diploma/transcripts or Education Verification
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap proof
• Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 6 months of start
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Fit Test within 6 months of start
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Competency Exam

Preferred

• Charge RN or above preferred for references
• COVID vaccines preferred, but not required

Additional compliance items

• EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG required within 30 days of start
• TB Questionnaire required annually in lieu of annual TB test for Aya placements
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella documentation required
• Respirator clearance / RespSafety clearance required
• Orientation guide, post test, confidentiality agreement, dress and grooming standards, harassment-free workplace, IT acceptable use policy, parking information, and non-employee personal information sheet must be completed or reviewed
