Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• On-Call: Required 1 day per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend (24/7 on-call availability)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Floating: Not required to float outside scope of practice
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (local radius rule: 75 miles)
• Pending License: Accepted

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cath Lab and critical care experience required)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Weekend Work: Required

Required Compliance & Documentation

• Government-issued ID (e.g., Driver’s License or State ID)
• Criminal Background Check (7-year search, including statewide and nationwide checks)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (quarterly)
• Education Verification (highest nursing education)
• Professional License Verification (Primary source verification required; Missouri licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Drug Testing (within 1 year, must include specific panels)
• Physical Exam (within 1 year)
• Fit Mask Testing (annual, N95 required; onsite testing available if needed)
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with specific timing requirements)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
• Background checks and state-specific searches as required for Missouri placements

Additional Required Certifications (may vary by unit)

• NIH Stroke Certification (required for all nurses)
• Other certifications as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI/MAB) – check unit-specific requirements

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (must meet passing score)
• Unit-Specific Competency Exam (updated annually)
• Skills Checklist (unit-specific, including oncology if applicable)

• HIPAA Acknowledgement (annual)
• Latex Allergy Questionnaire (annual)
• Confidentiality Form (annual)
• Regulatory Compliance Education (annual, includes training quiz)
• Hand Hygiene, Fingernail, and Dress Code Policies (must be reviewed and signed prior to start)
