Travel Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Job Description
- Minimum contract length: 13 weeks
- RN will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition (no post-partum)
- Certifications required: NIH Stroke Certification, BLS, ACLS, NRP
Required Qualifications
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery

Compliance & Background Requirements

- Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Check within 30 days prior to start
- Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Check within 30 days prior to start
- Education verification and transcript/diploma required for L&D RN
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen during orientation
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
- N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start (facility will not accept PAPR)
- Immunizations and titers required within 72 hours of contract signing:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (within 12 months)
- Rubeola (Measles) – positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Mumps – positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Rubella – positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or series of 3 vaccines
- Varicella – positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history of chickenpox
- Seasonal flu vaccination or agency declination required October 1 - March 31 (mask may be required if declined)
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must review and sign confidentiality, security, drug screening consent, TB questionnaire, and compliance checklists prior to start
- Competency exams (medication/pharmacology, age-specific) required within 1 year of start
- Skills checklist and employment application required, updated annually
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required, updated annually
