Respiratory Therapist, NICU

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Akron, Ohio
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
36 hours per week
12-week contract
Floating may be required to other facilities

Required Qualifications

Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Experience working with Adult or Pediatric patients

Preferred Qualifications

Level 3 and Level 4 NICU experience preferred

Education verification or diploma/transcript
Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprint results
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement

Unit-specific skills checklist
Two positive professional references
Employment application with 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Tdap within 10 years of start
TB screening or chest X-ray
TB questionnaire
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or documentation
Drug screen within 30 days of start
Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
Computer security agreement
HIPAA/confidentiality statement
HIPAA privacy training
Non-employee personal information form within 72 hours of signed contract
