Assignment Details

• Travel/contract role
• 26-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Must be available for the first 2 weeks for orientation
• Every other weekend required
• May float to other Med Surg units
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP
• 1 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred

Unit / Patient Care Notes

• Mixed medical-surgical population, including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patients
• Typical night staffing ratio is 1:5-6
• Ratios may increase to 7-8 patients, with RN support paired with an LPN

Compliance / Onboarding

• Background check required
• Drug screen required within 30 days of start
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• TB testing required within 30 days of start
• Tdap documentation required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
• Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for applicable start dates
• Skills checklist and professional reference required
