Interventional Radiology

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia
8-hour day shifts: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Rotating call every 4th week
50-mile radius rule applies
Contract length: 26 weeks

Role Summary

Imaging support in the OR working vascular IR
Need is for a tech, not a nurse
Responsible for actively participating in the full case workflow, including running the table and controls, performing 3D spins, working with fusion technology, filming and post-processing images, documenting inventory used during the case, and supporting simple surgical cases with a C-arm during downtime

Required Qualifications

Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ARRT
Experience with 3D imaging
Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures
Experience with fusion technology
Experience with HI-IQ documentation system
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Strong vascular/IR experience
Ability to work independently

Work Environment

Based in the OR supporting vascular IR
Uses EPIC for case inventory/orders and HI-IQ for documentation and inventory tracking
May support procedures such as Impellas and cystos
