Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Anchorage, Alaska
- Night shift, with possibility to fill in day shifts if necessary
- 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
- 1:4 ratio
- 13-week contract
- Up to 36 guaranteed hours; the source also notes 12-hour OR nurses and OR Techs are guaranteed 40 hours per week, but that does not appear to apply to this role
Unit / Coverage
- Provides care to CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS
- Float scope includes CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS
Required Qualifications
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 4 years of experience
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
- Alaska state license required; compact license accepted at time of submittal, but Alaska license must be in place before start for acute specialties
- Background check, transcript/diploma, education verification, sex offender search, competency exam, medication test/pharmacology competency exam, physical exam, fit mask, Tdap, negative TB or chest X-ray, TB questionnaire, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, drug testing, flu documentation, references, and skills checklist are required per facility onboarding and clearance requirements

- PICU, NICU, and Adult ICU experience

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through. It's filled with cultural sites, including many museums and the Alaska Native Heritage Center, which offers stage performances and displays traditional crafts and replicas of dwellings from indigenous groups in the area.
