Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Salem, Oregon
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- 36 hours per week
- Patient ratio: 1:3–4
- Every other weekend required
- Locals accepted
- Pending Oregon license accepted
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- RTO over 2 weeks requires approval
Unit / Setting
- PCU
- 30-bed neurotrauma care unit on the seventh floor of Building A
- Float scope includes West Valley Hospital
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Non-invasive airway management
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, and other IMCU-level medications)
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- PCU and neuro stepdown experience
- NIHHS certification
