Home Health RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Location: New Port Richey, Florida
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 20 weeks
• Local candidates: Accepted at the same rate

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 1 year of experience
• Home health experience with OASIS training and experience
• Skilled home care experience
• Does not accept private duty nursing experience only
• Valid driver’s license and car for home visits

Required Certifications

• BCLS

Clinical Skills / Experience

• IV skills
• Wound care
• General medical diagnoses
• Experience with high-risk diagnoses including heart failure, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Post-op care

Work Setting / Patient Care

• Home skilled visits, about 6–8 per day
• Self-scheduled visits based on office needs
• Patient care may include cardiopulmonary assessment, wound care, compression dressing, wound vac dressing, drain care, catheter care, staple/suture removal, glucometer use, pro-time testing, injections, lab draws, PICC/midline care, and port access/deaccess

Additional Requirements

• COVID vaccination or approved exemption
• Flu shot or declination, with mask use required either way
• Must remain current on driver’s license and auto insurance during the assignment
• Background check and fingerprint clearance required before start
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 10 weeks of start
• Drug screen within 30 days
• References required from the past 2 years

Notes for Candidates

• Scrubs: Any solid color
• Laptop, MiFi, and portable printer are used for documentation
• Home health documentation systems are used for charting
