Oncology Travel Nurse

Location

New Orleans, Louisiana

Contract

13 weeks
Travel/contract position

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours
36 hours per week
Weekend coverage: every other weekend

Unit Overview

Hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant, gynecologic oncology, and surgical oncology patient population
7-bed positive pressure wing for bone marrow transplant and acute leukemia patients
Bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
Float requirement

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Oncology experience within the last year
1 year of oncology experience
Hematology experience
Surgical Oncology experience
Bone Marrow Transplant experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are welcome
Candidate may be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team until the event passes
