ICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Location: Galion, Ohio
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• Weekly hours: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Scheduling: No blocked schedule; 3x12s or 4x12s may be available
• Floating: Must be willing to float to all campuses
• Call: Required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment

Preferred Experience

• Cardiac experience, including post-cath intervention, balloon pump, and Impella

Important Scheduling Notes

• No holiday RTO will be approved, including days during that week
• Holiday coverage is not guaranteed, but holiday/week requests are not allowed

• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprint attestation
• Education verification
• Nursys verification
• Competency exam
• Core Part I, II, and III
• Physical exam
• Fit mask testing
• Tdap within 10 years or signed declination
• Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/documentation
• Negative 10-panel drug screen
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption
• References: 2 clinical references

• Performance evaluation if previously worked with the organization for over 1 year
• Internal evaluation if previously worked with the organization for over 2 years

Additional Notes

• Unit-specific and agency-specific job description review/sign-off required
• New hire orientation and attendance policy acknowledgment required
• HealthStream modules and Epic access modules must be completed before clearance
• Respirator questionnaire and related onboarding forms are required
• Photo for badge required
• Aseptic compounding and glucometer skills check-offs are completed onsite during the first week
