Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Newberry, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Position involves working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Typical weekly schedule is 3 twelve-hour day shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in South Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Fit mask certification (3M 1860/1860s or 3M Aura 1870) within 1 year, updated annually.
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if previously positive, clear chest X-ray within 5 years plus annual TB questionnaire.
• Immunization or positive titer documentation required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start (or restart if break in service >12 weeks).
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination form required annually (flu season Nov 1 – Mar 31). Those declining must wear a mask during flu season.
• COVID vaccination preferred; declination form accepted. Masking may be required during local COVID surges.

Documentation and Compliance

• Emergency contact form required prior to start.
• Employee health screening and orientation documents must be completed promptly.
• Annual skills checklist required.
• Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years).
