- Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday
- On-Call: Required on weekdays, weekends, and possible holidays
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Cath Lab with responsibilities including circulating and preferably scrubbing during procedures.
- Skills required:
- Administration and monitoring of procedural sedation
- Diagnostic right and left heart catheterization
- Interventional catheterization
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Pulmonary artery line (Swan Ganz) monitoring
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
- Hurricane sign-up required (not guaranteed deployment).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
- Proficient in administration and monitoring of procedural sedation
- Experience with diagnostic right and left heart catheterization
- Experience with interventional catheterization
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with pulmonary artery line (Swan Ganz) monitoring
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
