Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Details

  • Work schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Call requirements:
    • 1 late call per week (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM)
    • 1 call shift per week (5:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
    • 1-2 call weekends per 6-week schedule (Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM)
  • Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted
  • Preferred experience with Philips Single and Bi-Plane Angiography systems
  • Required experience with Epic EHR and McKesson systems

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Kentucky
  • Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Current certifications required before start:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Experience with Epic EHR system

Experience

  • Minimum years of specialty experience: Level 1 preferred (generally entry-level or 1+ years)
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Compliance and Documentation

  • Employment verification for past 7 years required, with explanations for any gaps over 30 days
  • Two supervisor references verified within 6 months of start, preferably direct supervisors
  • Annual renewal and maintenance of certifications and competencies required during contract
  • Completion of multiple competency exams and skills checklists annually, including medication/pharmacology, unit-specific competencies, math ability, and conscious sedation as applicable
  • Facility-specific documents and policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., confidentiality, acceptable use, electronic communications, password policy)

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must renew all expiring documents prior to clearance for start or continuation of assignment
  • Facility provides EKG Certificate of Completion for new hires; renewals require manager signature and upload
  • Candidates must complete all required exams and certifications through specified platforms and meet passing criteria
  • Failure to meet any certification, exam, or documentation requirement may result in cancellation of assignment
