Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Creve Coeur, Missouri
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
- Shift: Rotating mid shifts (10:00 AM–10:30 PM, 12:00 PM–12:30 AM, occasional 3:00 PM–3:30 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
- Patient Volume: Approximately 35 visits per day
- Unit Size: 8 rooms, 10 beds
- Float: May float within scope to ICU and Medical-Surgical areas
- Patient Population: Adult service with pediatric stabilization and transfer; primary care ED; no trauma cases
- Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
- Pediatric Experience: Preferred
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): Preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Additional Requirements & Facility Policies
- On-Call: Not required
- Local Radius Rule: Must be willing to travel beyond 75 miles (locals not accepted)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Compliance Documents: Must complete and upload all required facility-specific documents prior to start, including but not limited to:
- HIPAA Acknowledgement
- Latex Allergy Questionnaire
- Confidentiality Form
- Regulatory Compliance Education (annual quiz with minimum 80% score)
- Dress Code, Hand Hygiene, and Fingernail Policies acknowledgment
- Badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- Orientation: Required WorkRamp orientation modules (~16 hours) unless completed in current calendar year
- Skills Checklist: Unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
- Missouri State-Specific Checks: Family Care Safety Registry, Highway Patrol Check, and Exclusion List searches required and must be current
- Driver’s License/State ID: Government-issued ID required

Notes
- First-time travel nurses are accepted for this position
- No prior travel experience required
- No trauma cases handled in this ER unit
- Pediatric experience and TNCC certification are preferred but not mandatory
- Must be able to stabilize pediatric patients and transfer as needed
