RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work rotating mid shifts: 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM, and occasional 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 40-hour orientation period
• Handle approximately 35-46 visits per day in 7-10 bed emergency department
• Provide adult emergency services and stabilize pediatric patients for transfer
• No trauma services - primary care emergency department focus
• Must float within scope to ICU and medical-surgical areas as needed
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, pediatric experience
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Skills include blood product administration, ventilator care, central line management, IV therapy, triage, procedural sedation, and phlebotomy
• No on-call requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Must maintain 75-mile radius from facility for local candidate restrictions

This short-term acute care hospital features 68 staffed beds and operates a comprehensive emergency department specializing in adult services and pediatric stabilization. The facility utilizes EPIC charting systems and provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The emergency department maintains a primary care focus without trauma services, offering quality emergency care to the community with modern equipment and professional support staff.
