Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery Nurse
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Long Term (13 weeks)
Shift: Day (AM)
Job Description
- Provide care in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 350 births per month.
- Manage high-risk and OB triage patients (OB triage is part of the L&D unit; comfort with this is required).
- Deliver couplet care (care for both mother and newborn).
- Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Floating is not required in the current state.
- Call is not mandatory; however, travelers may be placed on call up to 3 times during the contract and must be able to report within 45 minutes if needed.
- Manager is flexible with scheduling straight day or straight night shifts based on traveler preference.
- Time off must be approved at the time of offer; no time off approvals after confirmation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery and OB triage
- Experience providing couplet care
- Experience working in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
- Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Certified Fetal Heart Monitoring (CERT-FHM)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
