2+ years of hospital staff pharmacist experience, specifically medication preparation
20 hours of training in compounding sterile products accredited by ACPE or ASHP

Manage the medication process to help prevent and resolve drug-related problems
Verify medication doses based on diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions
Enter medication orders into the computer accurately
Ensure medications dispensed to patients are correct
Process medication orders and deliver doses within established guidelines
Follow aseptic technique and infection control when preparing sterile products
Complete annual re-certification and score at least 90% on aseptic technique/infection control skills and written exam
