Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday, 7 PM – 7 AM
Hours: 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week

Job Description
- Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor.
- Provides specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
- Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions.
- Works in various care settings including acute inpatient, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote outreach clinics.
- Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals.
- Operates specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures within scope of practice.
- Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation completeness and technical quality per department protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfers images and data to archival systems, enters technical data/findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting.
- Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies.
- Must be able to multi-task, remain calm under stress, and exercise discretion with confidential information.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and demonstrate initiative and commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year.
- Graduate of an accredited educational program focused on cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by ARDMS.
- Must meet eligibility requirements and published standards for ARDMS certification in the required specialty.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience with abdomen Doppler preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions reliably.
- Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
- Accurate record-keeping and ability to work with names, numbers, and codes.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative communication with staff, patients, and families.
- Understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology related to the specialty.
- Ability to apply core-level specialty theory and techniques to perform and analyze studies with general supervision.
Additional Information
- Schedule includes every other Saturday.
- Must consistently and dependably report to work as scheduled.

Pros
Very nice hospital, I like the fact that I never have to put in orders or sign any consent form. The doctors do all this. There is a lot of hours. On the clinical side, there is a lot to learn. On my unit I got to see so many surgical cases that I never seen in my entire career only because I was on a surgical unit.
