Travel RN Opportunity - Emergency Department

Location: Farmington, New Mexico

Facility & Unit Overview

• Level III Trauma Center with 48 beds (with flex space)
• Emergency Department with patient ratios: 4:1 in Main ED, 6:1 in Fast Track
• Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, Ultrasound Guided IV
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
• Patient population includes ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, Psychiatric patients

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Medicine
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of two weekends per schedule
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: None
• Team nursing and Pod System model
• Social Worker and Unit Educator assigned to the department

Required Qualifications

• Education: RN with ADN degree
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (all must be from AHA)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department or Emergency Medicine specialty (highest required years of experience)
• Must have skills/experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years Emergency Department experience preferred

• Substance Abuse Disorders
• Psychological Disorders
• COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
• CHF (Congestive Heart Failure)
• Abdominal Pain
• Chest Pain

Additional Notes

• No prior travel experience explicitly required
• Located in a scenic area with outdoor recreational opportunities nearby (rivers, golf courses, lakes, national parks)
• Provides healthcare services to the Four Corners region (New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah)
