Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

Unit Type: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Beds: 8
Staff per Shift:
- Day: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
- Night: 2 RNs, 1 PCT
Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 4 patients
Equipment Used: EKG, BiPAP/CPAP, heated high flow, cardiac respiratory monitors
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Job Description

Provide cardiac monitoring, medication management, respiratory support
Post-surgical care and blood transfusions
Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication skills required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Skills: Dysrhythmia interpretation

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Leadership experience, such as relief charge nurse

Additional Notes

Candidates without the required skills and certifications will not be considered
