Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Facility & Unit Overview

  • Acute-care hospital with 345 beds.
  • Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Centers.
  • Only cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, and pediatric intensive care units in the area.
  • Joint Commission accredited with additional recognitions for chest pain, sepsis, stroke, and heart attack care.
  • ACR accredited in MRI, CT, US, NM, and Mammography.
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented work environment with a culture of transparency and professionalism.
  • Located less than one mile from the beach in a city with over 60 miles of sandy shoreline and an average of 215 sunny days per year.

Unit Specifics

  • Radiology Department, main campus.
  • 400 beds in the hospital.
  • Average 180 CT exams per day using 3 scanners.
  • Staffing: 2 techs per scanner during the day; 3 techs overnight.
  • Equipment: GE 512, GE 128, GE 32 slice CT scanners.
  • Documentation system: Meditech.
  • Patient focus: Emergency Department (ED) and Inpatient (IP) only, with a compassionate care model.
  • Procedures: Routine CT exams including trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and CT angiography (CTA).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
