Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in a high-volume acute care hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC, requiring at least 2 years of experience and ARRT certification.

Details

  • 400-bed acute care hospital setting, located on the main campus
  • CT Scan department with 3 GE scanners (512-slice, 128-slice, and 32-slice)
  • Performs ED and inpatient (IP) CT exams only, following a compassionate care model
  • Average volume of 180 CT exams per day across 3 scanners
  • Staffing ratio of 2 techs per scanner during the day and 3 techs total overnight
  • Procedures include routine CT exams: trauma pan scans, head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and CTA
  • Documents using Meditech EMR
  • 12-hour evening/night shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with at least 1 year in a Level I trauma setting
  • Must have active experience in the specialty within the last 6 months
  • ARRT (Radiography) certification required; CT certification preferred
  • Ability to independently operate GE CT equipment
  • Ability to perform routine CT exams for all ED and IP patient types
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Professional reference required (2 references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • License required if applicable

  • The facility houses the only Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Centers in the area, as well as the only cardiac surgery program, neurosurgery program, and PICU in the surrounding region
  • Recognized on Healthgrades' America's 250 Best Hospitals list for overall clinical excellence
  • Staff describe the environment as fast-paced, team-oriented, and transparent, with strong support from leadership
  • Charcoal grey scrubs required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, and I always knew what the next step was, i never felt like i was left in the dark. One of my favorite things has been how communicative everyone is. Whether it’s my recruiter, Amanda, or Iranna from payroll, I always get a quick response when I have a question. It’s nice working with a team that actually follows up and keeps you in the loop. Amanda has been awesome throughout my assignment. She checks in regularly with a call or text just to see how things are going and make sure I don’t need anything. That level of support has really stood out to me. I’m rly happy I chose American Traveler for my first assignment, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
