Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Location: Gainesville, Florida
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 hours (Day shift only, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Unit: Rehabilitation Unit, 2nd Floor, Main Building
- Patient Ratio: 7:1
- Number of Beds: 30
- Staff on Unit: 22 (PT, OT, SLP, Tech)
- Call Requirements: Weekend rotation
- Documentation System: Meditech (Expanse)
- Typical Equipment: Standard inpatient rehab gym equipment including balance and gait systems
- Dress Code: Light gray scrubs
Job Description
- Provide patient evaluations, activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance, transfers, family and patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercises (Therex), and functional training.
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings will be accepted.
- New hospital and unit start-up as of May 5.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
