Location: Springfield, Missouri Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1

Schedule

• Shift: Evenings, 5x8, 2:30 pm - 11 pm, Monday through Friday
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: As required by facility
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: As required by facility
• Orientation: Evening shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week

• Unit: Interventional Radiology floor
• Number of Beds: 500
• Patient Types: ER patients and inpatients
• Equipment: GE
• Systems: EPIC, Visage, Vitrea, Medicalis

Required Qualifications

• Registered with the ARRT in Radiography
• Registered with the ARRT in CT
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• CT Technologist with 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a hospital setting
• Experience working with stroke patients
• Experience working with trauma patients
• Proficient in the use of power injectors
• Valid driver's license
• Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved school
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1; declinations not accepted

Job Summary

• Performs diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level
• Transports patients when needed
• Performs all post-processing procedures on Vitrea workstations and all functions on the QC workstation
• Follows established downtime processes when needed

Skills and Physical Requirements

• Skills: Medical scanning, cross-sectional anatomy, 3-D knowledge, computer skills (PACS, HIS/RIS, QC, workstations), power injectors, CPR
• Physical and Mental Requirements: Manipulating equipment, evaluating and selecting exposure factors, evaluating images, lifting, moving, and transporting patients, continual standing and walking, adapting to stressful and emergent situations, good communication skills

Dress Code

• Black scrubs only; anything other than the approved scrubs is unacceptable
