Overview

• Travel RN assignment in Holyoke, Massachusetts
• 13-week contract
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift: 7A-3:30P
• Every other weekend
• No call
• 1 opening
• 46-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1:9 RN
• Adults 18 and over in a locked behavioral health setting
• Float requirements: none

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Behavioral Health (3 years of experience)
• Behavioral Health experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Ability to pass medications utilizing Omni Cell

Preferred

• BSN
• Experience with the skills listed above

Unit Details

• Mountain View Unit
• Forensic Unit Mountain View
• Continuing Care Unit
• Equipment: POC blood glucose, VS
• EHR: Cerner

Patient Population

• Adults with histories of legal issues
• Patients last stop before community placement
• Common diagnoses include bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, substance abuse, and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, HTN, and COPD

Work Environment

• Trauma-informed, compassionate, flexible, confident, and able to adjust to changing patient needs
• Blue scrubs
• Open-toe shoes, provocative clothing, and tight clothing are not allowed
