Job Overview

Travel RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
48 hours per week guaranteed option
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Psychiatric (1 year of experience)
Psychiatric experience within the last year
BLS
CPI
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Behavioral health unit with adult and adolescent patient populations
Patient ratios: 8:1 for nurses
Floating may be required to areas with the greatest need
Coverage includes three 12-hour shifts daily, seven days a week, including weekends

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients’ mental health status and behavioral concerns
Develop and evaluate individualized care plans
Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects
Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
Monitor vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects

Additional Notes

Active Blue Card CPI is required to submit
Meditech is used for documentation
Required uniform: nurses wear blue
