Required Qualifications

• 2 years of ER experience
• Previous Med-Surg experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS

Schedule

• Day/night rotation
• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required when it falls on the blocked schedule

Unit Details

• ER with 4 beds and 2 trauma bays
• Trauma Level IV
• STEMI receiving and stroke designation
• No fast track
• No separate triage area
• ER holds are intermixed within the ER
• Separate psych/seclusion rooms are available
• No in-house security in the ER
• Average daily ER volume: 10 patients
• Charge nurse on each shift and takes patients
• No RT in the ER
• RNs are required to read their own strips
• Tele/monitor techs are not available
• Lab staff draw labs
• X-ray/CT transport handled by lab staff

Floating

• Float to Med/Surg and Swing Bed on the same unit

Additional Notes

• No clinical involvement
• Navy blue scrubs
• RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
• Candidate must be within 50 miles
• Candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
• Affiliate must already have an account created/registered to run the MN NetStudy prior to submitting a candidate
