L&D Nurse

Overview

Travel assignment in Chandler, Arizona
Specialty/unit: Labor and Delivery
13-week contract
Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Floating to Mother/Baby and Postpartum when needed

Required Qualifications

Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Arizona license or compact license
2 years of experience
Experience with C-sections
Computer charting experience
Must be able to confidently circulate and recover C-sections
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting, with 2 attempts allowed
Must pass a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
COVID vaccine required, or declination form with appropriate documentation and hospital approval

Cerner experience

Unit Details

18 LDRP beds
14-bed OB triage
8-bed Antepartum
2 fully equipped ORs for C-sections
Average deliveries: 8–10/day

Schedule and Workflow

4 weekend shifts per schedule
Holidays coverage requested as needed
First to float
1 week of floor-specific orientation
Titrates Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate per protocol

Clinical Setting

Level II EQ; accepts gestations 28 weeks and greater
Level 1 Trauma Center
OB Hospitalist in house
RT, anesthesia, and pharmacy available 24/7
No tele
No vents
