Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday

Overview

Performs ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Ultrasound Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer
  • 1 year of experience performing ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician’s office

Skills and Knowledge

  • Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Physician office procedures and ICD-9/CPT coding guidelines
  • Ultrasound equipment, procedures, protocols, and safety hazards
  • Ability to recognize normal and pathological features
  • Clear communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and make simple adjustments
  • Sonogram production and communication
