Provide professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Perform scrub functions including selection and handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
Perform circulating functions such as monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition; manage overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments/equipment for use.
Work requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Must follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Current RN license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.

Health and immunization documentation including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
- Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted).

- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine (optional; mask required if declined during flu season).
- TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire.
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be done onsite).
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
Background checks including criminal background, EPLS, and drug screening (12-panel) within required timeframes.
Specialty competency exams and skills checklists completed prior to or shortly after start, with periodic updates.
Completion of onboarding requirements including core competencies, unit-specific checklists (optional), and electronic profile setup.

Must be able to work in a high-stress environment with minimal supervision.
