<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Aug 31, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit position requiring 2+ years of experience and a KY or compact RN license.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in a fast-paced, 25-bed Med Surg/Tele unit</li><li>Care for Inpatient, Observation, and Swing bed patients</li><li>Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li><li>No floating to other units required</li><li>Patient ratio of 1:6</li><li>CPSI EMR experience preferred but not required</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active KY RN license or compact license required in hand at time of submission</li><li>Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS</li><li>Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience required, 3 years preferred</li><li>Community hospital experience preferred</li><li>LTAC experience preferred</li><li>Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care</li><li>Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management</li><li>Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes and oxygen administration</li><li>Knowledge of wound care, isolation precautions, and IV insulin protocols</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg/Tele unit setting</li><li>Manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and emergency response protocols</li><li>Support patients with gastrointestinal, respiratory, genitourinary, and endocrine care needs</li><li>Self-scheduling available for this position</li><li>Local and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate</li><li>Travel pairs accepted</li></ul>
