Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Ohio
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• First-time travelers accepted
• Adult and geriatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Mechanical ventilation experience
• Experience with Epic

Unit Details

• MICU
• Common patient diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, gastrointestinal bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, consequences of oncologic treatment, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis
• Common treatments include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, complex medication regimens, clinical trials, and plasmapheresis
• Bronchoscopy or endoscopy may be needed for patients with underlying pulmonary and gastrointestinal conditions

Additional Notes

• If accepted, a 12D/N rotating contract may include days, nights, or both depending on department needs
• Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and depend on staffing priorities
