Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Long Beach, California
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted with 2.5 years of experience
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at the local rate
• Weekend work required as needed by the department
• No floating
• No on-call

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2.5 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
• 2.5 years of experience in a large level II trauma center
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association

Schedule

• Night shift
• 36 hours per week

Documentation and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID
• Emergency contact form
• 2 professional references
• Employment application
• Unit-specific skills checklist
• Annual internal evaluation
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• N95 fit mask within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Tdap within the last 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
• TB questionnaire annually
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or documentation during flu season, with declination allowed
• COVID vaccination record preferred

• EPIC education module completion
• HIPAA module completion
• YouLearn modules completion
• Review of required facility policies before start
• Pass/fail testing and competency requirements apply
