Operating Room RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse

• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
• Hours: 40 per week
• Call: Required, including weeknights, weekends, and holiday rotation
• Float: Required
• Orientation: Bi-weekly

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Ability to circulate in the operating room
• Total joints surgical experience

• Driver’s license or state ID
• Background check
• SSN trace
• Color blind testing within 12 months prior to start
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Competency exam
• Core Part I, II, and III
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire
• MMR documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella documentation
• Drug test within 45 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption documentation, if applicable
• Photo for badge
• Onboarding attestation
• Job description acknowledgment
• References from employers worked for in the past 3 years

• NIH Stroke Certification may be obtained after accepting.
• Local candidates within 75 miles are paid less than travelers.
• Requested time off is not accepted at booking and must be discussed during the assignment.
