MS Tele RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Antioch, California
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• On call: as needed

Unit / Assignment

• Post Surgical Unit
• SCU is a hybrid unit with telemetry/med-surg patients
• May float to other telemetry/med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• EKG Interpretation
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications
• Experience reading cardiac rhythms and acting on changes to those rhythms

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• HHS/OIG search
• FACIS Level 3 screening
• California Medi-Cal search if FACIS III cannot be run monthly
• Employment application with full 7-year work history and no gaps

• Physical exam
• Fit test
• TB screening and negative TB or chest x-ray
• Drug screen
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Color blind exam
• Respiratory safety clearance
