Description
MS Tele RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Antioch, California
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- On call: as needed
Unit / Assignment
- Post Surgical Unit
- SCU is a hybrid unit with telemetry/med-surg patients
- May float to other telemetry/med-surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- EKG Interpretation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
- Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications
- Experience reading cardiac rhythms and acting on changes to those rhythms
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing

- 7-year background check
- Sex offender search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM search
- HHS/OIG search
- FACIS Level 3 screening
- California Medi-Cal search if FACIS III cannot be run monthly
- Employment application with full 7-year work history and no gaps
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- Physical exam
- Fit test
- TB screening and negative TB or chest x-ray
- Drug screen
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- Color blind exam
- Respiratory safety clearance
- Candidate must review and sign required pre-start documents
