Histology Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Santa Rosa, California
Shift: Night (5x8 hours), 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Workdays: Saturday to Thursday
• Start Date: ASAP
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty with hospital experience; grossing experience is mandatory
• First Time Traveler: Allowed only if candidate has strong experience and more than 10 years total experience
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days
• Facility Type: Acute Care
• Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual

Required Qualifications

• Valid Histology Technologist license in California
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histology Technologist
• Recent Histology Technologist experience within the last year

Background and Compliance

• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
• Education verification required for all candidates
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
• Drug screen (9 panel) within 12 months of start; instants acceptable
• State-specific background and registry checks as applicable

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities
• Competency exams and skills checklists as applicable, updated annually
• Work history verification required if exceptions to reference requirements are requested
