Overview

Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hours, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Scheduling: 4x12 schedule available by request
Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
Holiday requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
Floating: Required within skillset
Locals accepted: Yes
First-time travelers: Accepted; travel experience preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with Epic

Key Clinical Skills

Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
Medication administration, including cardiac drips without titration
Respiratory support, including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
Isolation precautions and telemetry settings across PCU, IMC, and stepdown units

Telemetry PCU with remote telemetry monitoring
Typical patient ratio: 1:5
Staffing goal: 1:4

Additional Notes

RTO requests must be included with submission
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
