ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Georgia, Jasper

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 8 weeks

Unit Description

• Care for critically ill medical/surgical patients including:

  • Sepsis, cardiac arrest, cardiovascular disease
  • Respiratory failure
  • Alcohol/drug overdose and withdrawal
  • Post-operative surgical care
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding
  • End of life/comfort care
  • COVID-19 complications
• ICU split into two floors:

  • Higher acuity upstairs (1 nurse:2 patients ratio)
  • Lower acuity downstairs (1 nurse:3 patients ratio plus 1 Patient Care Technician)
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• No on-call required

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
