Job Summary
- Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) / PET Tech
- Shift Options: 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts (day shift, typically 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
- Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Call required post-shift and rotating weekends; call expectations may vary based on experience
- Weekend shifts may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- Scheduling requests due at time of submission; outside employment scheduling requests will not be considered
- Local radius for assignment: 50 miles

Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
- BLS certification
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Education Verification (3rd party verification required)
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Work History Verification if reference exceptions are requested
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit Mask Testing required for travel candidates, updated annually (not required for Medical Lab Scientists or Sterile Processing Techs)
Training & Competency Requirements
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Competency exams required by specialty
- Epic training modules required; candidates must claim Epic account and complete assigned modules promptly
Additional Notes
- Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; traveler may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Candidates must submit all required documentation and certifications prior to start
- Background checks and other compliance documents must be current and meet facility standards
