- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Total 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Position requires floating to different units as needed.
- Supervisory references required: 2 professional references total, including at least 1 supervisor or manager reference (Charge RN acceptable as one reference; peer references not accepted).
- Prefer candidates with close to 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio State license for Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT).
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification required.
- Must have a current government-issued photo ID matching the legal name on license and certifications.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Certifications and Competencies
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certification required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA certification required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/AAP certification required.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as applicable.
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - as applicable.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - passing score required.
- Competency Exam - passing score required.
- Tech Cert Verification (National) - required within 30 days of start.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year county search and education verification.
- Education verification through National Student Clearinghouse or in-house verification if needed.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting required within 60 days of start; must be updated for each new contract.
- Sex offender search, state-specific searches (Nurse Aide Registry, Inmate Registry, Medicaid Exemption, Abuse Registry) required within 30 days of start.
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start.
- Employment application and copy of resume required.
- Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually.
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (candidates sign Infection Control Policy in lieu of physical copy).
- N95 fit testing required within 1 year of start; must be updated annually.
- TDAP vaccine required within 10 years of start (vaccine must be after age 11).
- TB testing options accepted: 2 PPDs or QGOLD/TSPOT within 12 months; additional requirements if positive.
- Flu vaccine required annually between October 31 and May 31; medical/religious exemptions require facility approval and completion of exemption policy.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity required: positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers are negative or equivocal.
- Hepatitis B: declination, completed 3-vaccine series, or positive titer required.
- Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters required if titer negative/equivocal.

- Candidate’s legal name must match all documentation (license, certifications, background checks).
- Fingerprinting results may pend at start; facility can complete onsite fingerprinting if needed.
- Candidates must complete fingerprinting appointment within 24-48 hours of signing contract.
- Floating to different units is a job requirement.
- Temporary or paper IDs are not acceptable for compliance.
- Ohio driver’s license address must not be within 60 miles of the facility to avoid being considered local.
