Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Outpatient) - Travel/Contract

Job Description

Provide physical therapy services primarily in an outpatient setting.
Plan and implement individualized treatment programs based on physical therapy principles and practices.
Serve as a resource and provide structured educational opportunities within the hospital in your area of specialization.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
No floating or on-call duties.

Requirements

Licensure & Education

Valid California Physical Therapy License.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Degree: B.S., B.A., M.A., M.S., or D.P.T.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in physical therapy (specialty).
No explicit requirement for prior travel experience.

Certifications (as applicable)

BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only.
ACLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and other certifications may be required depending on position specifics (verify as needed).
State license verification and professional license copies required.
Additional certifications may be required based on job duties and facility policies.

Background Checks & Compliance

7-year background check required within 6 months of start.
Sex offender search within 90 days of start.
FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
Education verification and transcript/diploma verification as applicable.
Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
Employment history verification covering 7 years with no gaps over 30 days.
References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client).

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (must indicate cleared for work).
Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply).
Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.
Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and annually.
