Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse in ICU

Competencies & Exams

• Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for all RNs except Rehab, Labor & Delivery, Case Manager/Home Health
• Core HIPAA and safety training required

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check updated annually
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Education verification (degree from accredited program; BSN preferred)
• Physical exam within 12 months, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (no declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella - proof of vaccination or positive titers, no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella - proof of vaccination or positive titer, no declinations accepted
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination/documentation required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with facility forms)
• Drug screening: 9 or 10 panel drug screen within last 12 months

Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required on person during hours of service
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license
• References: 2 recent clinical references within 1 year
• Employment application including 2 years prior clinical practice in acute care setting
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding, professionalism, and appearance policies
• Completion of HealthStream modules immediately upon receipt
• Medication management policies acknowledgment required for RNs
