Nurse Educator

Location: Lawrence, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days, Monday to Friday (business hours, flexible start/end times)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Provide educational consultation, including planning, implementing, and evaluating continuing education programs.
Participate in planning and delivering clinical aspects of new employee orientation.
Collaborate with local nursing schools regarding student practicum assignments.
Work with the Professional Development Department and clinical nurse educators to establish clinical competencies, conduct competency assessments, and lead educational skills sessions.
Coordinate the Simulation Lab operations: create and execute simulation scenarios with debriefing, maintain simulation equipment and supplies, coordinate lab use for multidisciplinary clinical staff, and collect data to evaluate learning outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a School RN, including experience within the last year.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
BLS certification.
Experience as an educator.

Additional Information

This is a non-exempt role.
No weekends or night shifts.
Projects will generally be generalist unless specialty-specific skills are demonstrated.
