Location: Macomb, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Diagnose disorders and provide therapy for clients/patients with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
Assess speech, language, and swallowing skills considering educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
Plan and conduct habilitative or rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communicative efficiency in children or adults.
Provide consultation services to educational, medical, and other professional health groups.
Services delivered in inpatient and outpatient settings, nursing homes, skilled nursing facility, home health care, and hospice.

Experience with video fluoroscopy and pediatric patients is specifically required.
Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills to diagnose and develop rehabilitation plans.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients to motivate cooperation and effort in therapy.
Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental, cultural, or medical complexities.

Must complete departmental orientation, ongoing hospital-wide computerized learning, in-services, and competency evaluations.
Work schedule may include 5-8 hour or 4-10 hour shifts, or a mixture of both.
