Surgical Tech - Travel Assignment

Location: Santa Cruz, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: OR Tech
Shift: Evenings (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
Hours per Day: 8
Hours per Week: 40
Unit: Operating Room (7 beds: 1 heart room, 6 general)
Patient Types: Similar to Preop patients, including endoscopy and interventional radiology cases
EMR System: Cerner - Surginet
Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends with call responsibilities
Holidays: Call required
Scrub Color: Provided
Equipment: Phillips Telemetry, Draeger ventilators
Support Staff: Nurse aides, surgical techs, anesthesia techs
Anesthesiologists on site: 3
Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy: Available 24/7
Orientation: 1 week floor-specific orientation
Shift Length: 10-hour shifts with night shift call available

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of OR Tech experience
Active BLS certification
Active CST certification
COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

Patient-to-tech ratio: 1:1
Charge Nurse serves as clinical coordinator
No floating required
