Surgical Tech

Location

Kearney, Nebraska

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Day shift
8-hour shifts
Starts at 0700, Monday through Friday
Same schedule week to week
Call required, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Call response time: 15 minutes

Required Qualifications

BLS certification
ACLS certification
Driver’s license required at submittal
Experience handing open heart procedures
Experience working in a general OR

Role Details

CVOR-focused surgical tech role
Will also work in general OR cases when not doing cardiovascular cases
Must be able to support other specialties such as ortho, general, ENT, and urology when needed
Scrubbing is not required for RNs
One week of unit-specific orientation

Additional Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Scrubs are provided
Radius rule: candidates must live more than 50 miles away
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
