• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Driver’s license required at submittal
• First-time travelers accepted

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology experience preferred
• Current ONS/ONCC certification preferred

Unit Details

• Adult oncology PCU and trauma PCU patients
• 18 beds
• Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on days and nights
• Travelers float to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care
• Two days of unit orientation
• Self-scheduling, balanced to unit needs

Clinical Notes

• RNs may titrate insulin and Cardizem drips
• Common medications/drips include chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix
• High-flow respiratory equipment may be encountered
• Epic is used for charting
• Alaris IV pumps are used

Additional Information

• Clinical interview and manager interview required
• Pass/fail open-book exam during orientation; 90% required to pass
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
• Radius rule: candidates must live within 50 miles
• Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
