Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location

• Oxnard, California

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Travel contract
• Nights
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• 2 full years of experience
• Experience with drips

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel experience preferred
• Experience with chest tubes preferred

Assignment Details

• Float pool position
• Based at one facility and required to float to another nearby facility
• May also float to telemetry, med-surg, ER holds, and related units
• High-acuity telemetry patient population
• Nurses must be able to read strips
• Charge nurse present
• Nurse aides available based on census
• No IV team
• RT and pharmacy available 24/7
• No vents on the primary unit; may see BiPAP or CPAP
• Common patient types include pneumonia, ESRD, post-cath lab, respiratory distress, CHF, and COPD

Schedule / Workflow

• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• One major and one minor holiday required
• No block scheduling
• Orientation includes the home unit and other units/facilities as needed
